The Philosophy A Teen's Life Is Based On

My Life's based on a seriously simple philosophy, put down by a wonderful authoress, KA Applegate. She states in her book 'The Proposal' in the Animorphs Series :

'While some things are just plain awful, most things in life can be seen as either tragic or comic. And it's your choice. Is life a big, long, tiresome slog from sadness to regret to guilt to resentment to self-pity? Or is life weird, outrageous, bizarre, ironic and just plain stupid?
Gotta go with stupid.
It's not the easy way out.Self-pity is the easiest thing in the world. Finding the humour, the irony, the slight justification for a skewed, sceptical optimism, that's tough.'

Another thing that Applegate says in the same book is :

'You know, at the clinic we're always getting animals who are hurt or injured by people. By jerks who shoot at them for no reason, or try and burn them, or whatever. I just hated those people. And I'd feel like I was wasting my time because of some jerk with a twenty-two. I'd rage about it. But then, someone told me, "Deal with what is."
What does that mean? It means, the animal is hurt. Help the animal. That's just an example. In everyday life, a lot of stuff goes wrong, a lot of things get messed up. None of that should be. But it is.'

This sorta stuff is kinda easy to relate to, and you can seriously put it to use. What i mean is that, they're not just silly 'feel good' phrases you usually hear , they're ACTUALLY realistic.
